What is it REALLY like to start an Aerial Yoga practice anyway?

Let's be honest... starting anything new can be scary and uncomfortable! It takes a lot of courage to step outside of our own reality and step into something we haven't done before, surrounded by people that we don't know and in a space we've never been before. I get it because trust me... we've ALL been there before! In fact, if you ask any one of our team members they will ALL remember their first aerial yoga class. And, they had all of the same emotions you're probably having.

The truth is, we all have to start somewhere and we recognize those emotions that often surround trying something new. It's for that reason that we created our signature New Member Series: a 3-week experience that will not only teach you everything you need to know about starting your aerial yoga journey in our studio, but you do it alongside others that are new to the commUNITY too!

My Journey

But... before we get you started there, let me share a little bit about my own journey! I got started with my aerial yoga practice back in our MonOrched days - a local co-working space / event venue / art gallery located on the heart of Rosevelt Row where the studio first started in 2016. A friend of mine dragged me to class because I was having back problems caused by stress [yay for family visiting hah].

After just one class I was hooked! I bought passes to class as often as I could (I was a member before being a member was even a thing). As my practice continued to grow I knew I wanted to share this with others and went on my journey of becoming a teacher. I first went through my Aerial Yoga Teacher Training and then onto my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

My why? I'm so passionate about sharing this with others and showing them that yoga is for anyBODY. Now, I teach students new to the studio the foundations of the practice! Teaching the New Member Series has become my absolute favorite thing to do! I love teaching beginners and helping them feel comfortable and I love building people up and helping them explore something new!

Nothing is better than helping someone develop confidence in themselves. You can expect all of that and then some in the New Member Series with me! This program is for students of all levels - whether you've been practicing for years or just getting started. It's one of the many ways we help develop relationships with our members and we continue to grow our commUNITY.
