Our Prenatal Aerial Yoga Teacher Training offers a balanced mix of theory and practical application providing you with valuable knowledge and tools for teachers and pregnant students to navigate an aerial yoga practice safely and confidently.

In this program you will learn:

  • Benefits of aerial yoga for pregnancy

  • Safety guidelines, modifications and cuing for pregnant students

  • Modifying aerial yoga shapes and inversions for various stages of pregnancy

  • Postural alignment and working with props for pregnancy

  • How prenatal students can use the aerial hammock as a prop

  • Aerial yoga sequences beneficial for pregnant students

  • Anatomy and contraindications for prenatal students

Our Prenatal Aerial Yoga Teacher Training program is designed for yoga teachers seeking to enhance their confidence and skills in safely guiding pregnant students through an aerial yoga practice. Plus, students either currently pregnant, or looking to become pregnant, and wanting to feel confident in their practice as they navigate pregnancy are also invited to attend.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

  • Understanding Prenatal Aerial Yoga: Build a better understanding of how the aerial hammock can be used as a prop to support mom in an aerial yoga class.

  • The Pregnant Body: Learn about the pregnant body, including the hormones, muscles of the breath, pelvis and pelvic floor muscles and common aches and pains and how aerial yoga can be accessible.

  • The Pregnancy Journey: Uncover special considerations for each stage of the beautiful journey through pregnancy and modifications in aerial yoga.

  • Prenatal Aerial Yoga Asanas: Learn how to offer modifications to common aerial yoga shapes and inversions, along with adjustments and important considerations on safety for mom and baby.

  • Teaching Prenatal Aerial Yoga: Learn different elements of teaching to prenatal students and build confidence as a teacher on ways to include mom in your classes.

  • Breathwork: Learn the benefits and how to teach breathwork to help mom feel included in your classes.

Meet Your Facilitator

Julie is a seasoned yoga teacher with extensive training and experience in a variety of yoga modalities including as an 85-hr certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. As a 500-hour eRYT, she has also completed her 50-hour Aerial YTT, 30-hour Restorative Aerial YTT and a 50-hour Aerial Yoga apprenticeship with Elevate. Additionally she has training and certifications in Prenatal, Chair, Yin, Nidra, Restorative and Flow styles of yoga and was a nurse in her past life.

Teachers: Earn Continuing Education Hours

All of our trainers are registered Continuing Education Providers through Yoga Alliance. Students who enroll in our trainings will qualify for continuing education credits once complete.
