Reiki is an ancient yet simple healing technique and it has been found to produce profound results all through gentle touch, positive mindsets, and energy transfer. The principles themselves can be compared to affirmations or intentions, very much focused on the here and the now.
Similar to the practices we learn in a meditation or yoga class, there is no right or wrong way to incorporate reiki into your life. It can be used during meditation, as a morning intention, or whenever you need it. Simply put, reiki can help you receive whatever energy you need in the moment for you to not only be present, but to be the best version of yourself and to stay in balance.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energy healing technique in which a reiki practitioner uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what’s known in reiki as “life force energy”) through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. Reiki complements the other forms of self care and healing you likely already do on a regular bases (such as yoga, meditation, healthy eating, drinking water, etc.).

What to expect in a session?
Sessions at Elevate are 60-minutes. You will be guided into a state of deep relaxation on a massage table, supported with props such as bolsters and blankets. Your practitioner will use a combination of hands on and hands off positions around the head, shoulders, stomach, feet, and other areas based on your specific needs. The session will include relaxing music in the background, calming and cleansing scents such as sage, palo santo, and other essential oils, and even some soothing sound healing at the end.
